Dean and Dan Caten, Canadian twin brothers from Willowdale Ontario, have operated in the fashion business since 1983. They move to Italy in 1991 to pursue their love of fashion and in 1994 their dream of creating their own prêt-à-porter collection comes true and they bring their first men’s collection to the fashion runways of Milan. Dean and Dan’s ability to mix fashion with music and art on the runway has captured the attention of the fashion world.

Dean and Dan’s intelligent mix of “American Dream”, refined Italian tailoring and attention to detail, is the foundation behind the Dsquared2 philosophy and has created a new idea of prêt-à-porter fashion. With more than 10 years of experience the Dsquared2 collections have matured into chic and glamorous, but have always remained true to their roots, clothing made for real people with real style!

Nowadays Dean and Dan love designing and spending most of their time in London, but build their collections in Italy: “Born in Canada, living in London, made in Italy” is how they define themselves.
