Founded in Germany in 1976 as an alternative to traditional luxury, MCM was the “enfant terrible” that created the ultimate accessories and lifestyle goods for the innovative and unapologetically luxurious lifestyle of the 1970s Munich scene. Today MCM continues to harness its heritage of sophisticated rebellion to pioneer new expressions of luxury for a new generation of independently minded consumers. Under the visionary leadership of Sung-joo Kim, who acquired the brand in 2005, MCM is surging forward with unique vision, new iconic designs and ideas (boundary-breaking approach to innovation). MCM is currently distributed in 584 stores in 43 countries including Munich, Berlin, Zurich, London, Paris, New York, LA, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Seoul, Tokyo, Middle East, and other major luxury destination cities around the world.

MCM unveils the next chapter of tits cosmic exploration with a striking new eyewear collection, continuing its cosmic-inspired journey from Munich to Mars. This latest release seamlessly blends futuristic design codes with the brand’s hallmark of Munich-born know-how - a celebration of innovation, individuality, and movement.
Designed for today’s cyber-galactic nomads, the new collection speaks to a generation of digital-age mavericks who express their curiosity and identity through the way they see the world. Each frame embodies a forward-thinking design approach inspired by the Bauhaus movement, merging function with artistic form to reflect MCM’s enduring legacy of craftsmanship in a future-facing context. The sunglasses and optical frames are detailed with signature elements drawn directly from the brand’s iconic travel heritage. Diamond-shaped and metallic accents, reminiscent of MCM’s luggage hardware, are reimagined as sculptural components. The laurel motif — a core emblem of the brand — appears throughout, both as an embossed mega detail and as a refined metal element that subtly reproduces the laurel leaves, forming the elegant structure of the temples. In a nod to the brand’s storied codes, the Visetos monogram is rendered in original acetate, turning the frames themselves into wearable icons.
