Environmental protection is an indispensable pillar of Marcolin’s sustainable growth journey. It is not an isolated action, but an integrated strategy that involves every phase of our value chain.
We have adopted a structured approach to quantifying CO₂ emissions, monitoring data related to Scopes 1 and 2 and initiating the process of measuring indirect Scope 3 emissions. This responsible choice enables us to accurately measure the environmental impact of our activities and identify areas for improvement.
Our commitment is built on solid monitoring systems: our Internal Control and Risk Management System integrates ESG issues, ensuring a structured assessment of environmental risks. This is further reinforced by the ongoing collection and validation of environmental data, carried out in close collaboration with our suppliers to promote transparency and shared responsibility.
In 2024 we launched the Data System project, born from a cross-functional ESG working group. The initiative involved a detailed inventory of the bills of materials for accessories, secondary and tertiary packaging. We are now entering a new phase of the project, focused on mapping the materials that comprise our products, with the aim of enhancing both traceability and the overall sustainability of our portfolio.
For us, sustainability also involves searching for innovative materials that ensure a lower environmental impact and high technical performance. At the same time, we continue to invest in the quality and safety of our products, ensuring adherence to the highest standards from design to production.
Finally, we continue to invest in energy efficiency initiatives, with targeted interventions in our production sites to reduce waste and consumption. Our direction is clear: to combine innovation and responsibility to contribute transparently to a more sustainable future.
