Our supply chain is bound by a shared thread that connects every stakeholder—from employees to end consumers—each one essential in crafting a truly sustainable future.
To ensure environmental responsibility, transparency, and workplace safety among our suppliers, in January 2021 we introduced our first Supplier Code of Conduct, in line with the company’s Code of Ethics. Adherence to this Code is an essential requirement for collaborating with the Group. Through our Code of Ethics and Supplier Code of Conduct, we disseminate and share our values along the entire supply chain.
In practice, this means including ESG aspects in the supplier qualification phase:
- A dedicated monitoring program, the “Marcolin Suppliers ESG Monitoring Plan”, enables us to verify that suppliers meet the ESG standards of our licensors/key accounts.
- Traceability is the key starting point, essential for integrating the supply chain into our ESG journey. To enable traceability, we are continuously improving our data collection and management systems, an essential approach for accurately evaluating and analyzing the impacts of our activities, products, and services.
As a clear expression of our commitment, in 2024 we deepened our dedication to human rights by launching a social and ethical audit program for key suppliers directly overseen by Marcolin S.p.A., with a particular focus on those engaged in the production of eyewear and semi-finished components. This initiative strengthens our vision of a value chain that is ever more transparent, accountable, and aligned with the core principles of sustainability.
