We have voluntarily joined the United Nations Global Compact, the strategic initiative launched by the UN to promote a sustainable and inclusive global economy. By joining, we commit to upholding, promoting, and embedding the Ten Fundamental Principles on human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption across all our business practices.
This step further strengthens our sustainability vision, aimed at a positive and measurable impact in line with the goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda (SDGs). It is not a formal act, but a concrete responsibility that guides our daily decisions.
On this journey, we actively participate in working groups promoted by the Global Compact, particularly the one dedicated to Sustainable Procurement, a key area for our international production and distribution operations. Engaging with other companies allows us to share experiences and strengthen our ESG approach.
To affirm our determination to forge ahead, Marcolin has enrolled in the UN Global Compact Climate Ambition Accelerator 2025 program, an initiative that supports companies in setting emissions-reduction targets that are measurable and science-based, especially on issues related to climate change. All of this comes to life through training, benchmarking, and multilateral collaboration.
