Continuous Evolution

More than a simple retail space, it is the physical expression of a brand language in constant evolution. In the heart of Berlin, at 5 Münzstraße, ic! berlin reopens the doors of its completely renovated flagship store. With this project, the Berlin-based brand reaffirms its roots in the Mitte district, giving the city back an authentic home for contemporary design.

A Global Vision

Designed by Milan-based studio Navone Associati, a long-standing creative partner of Marcolin, the new space brings the brand’s core values to life through its architecture and materials: formal simplicity, meticulous precision, and structural purity. Exposed stainless steel, a defining element of ic! berlin’s engineering-driven approach, runs throughout the interiors as a unifying thread, shaping a new retail design language that will also characterize future mono-brand store openings globally.

Berlin Design

«Berlin is ic! berlin’s hometown, and this space is the purest expression of our identity», said Davide Lunghi, General Manager of the brand. «Renovating our flagship store during our 30th anniversary year was a natural step. We wanted to create a more contemporary space for our collections, our community, and the cultural legacy of eyewear ‘Made in Berlin’».

  • Tell me a story about The Shape of Character: Leonie Hanne for Guess Eyewear

The Californian heritage of GUESS, part of Marcolin’s Eyewear portfolio, meets the cosmopolitan glamour of German influencer, model, and entrepreneur Leonie Hanne. The result? Three exclusive eyewear styles created as part of the Leonie Hanne for GUESS Fall/Winter 2026 capsule collection, designed to accompany every moment of the day.

  • Tell me a story about How Eyewear Changed The World

Putting on and taking off a pair of glasses: for millions of people, it is the first and last gesture of the day. This is true even for those who do not need vision correction, as eyewear has become the most important accessory in any outfit. This is the story told in the book of the moment, written by American scholar David King Dunaway, A Four-Eyed World: How Glasses Changed the Way We See, published by Bloomsbury.

  • Boundless visions of Yao Hongying

Raised in a family of embroiderers, Yao Hongying learned the ancient art of Suzhou embroidery from an early age. The city of Suzhou is renowned for its centuries-old tradition of silk embroidery. Today, she is regarded as one of the leading artists in the field. We meet her on the occasion of the Qixi Festival, a celebration inspired by the “Legend of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl” and widely regarded in China as Valentine’s Day.
